A Shquish is actually a morphing liquid membrane made up of digestive juices and other strange chemicals. It can make itself virtually invisible to any wandering prey by flattening itself. Once something has wandered close enough, the Shquish will immediately plunge itself into the ear cavity and travel straight up to the brain. It will then sit there and allow its membrane to digest the contents, making the inside of the skull a Shquish's usual habitat. However, the Shquish's digestive properties are not very strong, so it takes a really long time to digest the brain tissue. During this time, other enzymes in its membrane will paralyze the victim, and the unusual chemical compounds make the prey hold a large gaping smile.
