Over 40 drawings, 15 compositions, and no known amount of time (perhaps a month?) but it's FINALLY HERE! The Curse of Monkey Island's hysterical intro. After the very strange ending of Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's revenge, we finally found out that Guybrush is alive has managed to escape LeChuck's Carnival, though he's grown a lot skinnier and has lost his beard.

You better like this, 'cause I had to watch the intro to the game about fity times! :P Just kidding, I love the intro, why else would I animate it?
I'm sorry his hand doesn't move when he's writing. It was just too hard to do. And the reason his head shoots up suddenly is he heard gunfire, from a cannon (fired by none other than Elaine, the girl he was writing about.)

Please, no comments about how there's no pencils in the pirate ages. He's sitting in a bumper car. The entire game, all the games in fact, were made for fun, not historic accuracy.

Interesting fact: Earl Boen (LeChuck), Alan Young (Haggis McMutton), and Dave Madden (Dinghy Dog) now star together on a radio show called Adventures in Odyssey, playing various different voices. Funny how they got back together.

oh wow... this is, i dont know anywords to discribe this! its really amazing. wow i cant believe it took you so long, but it was deffinatly worth it, it turned out fantastic!! :D wow i cant wait to see the next part. it reallly is almost like a really movie. kind of reminds me of disney :) keep up the amazing work :D

This is... AMAZING. Looks exactly like the intro from MI3!!!

I can't believe how much detail is in this, and how much like the original it looks!

I've never heard of the game, which made this even better (since I didn't know what was coming up next). It made everything so funny, how he wished for food and water and all that stuff's floating by. HA!
I was really impressed on how smooth and clear everything was. I also loved the way the chicken looked! You did an amazing job and you should be proud of it.

The chicken turned out probably the most accurate to how the original artists made it. I'm very proud of him. :)

It's very old, but the graphics are still new even today because nobody wants to animate an entire game. It's so awesome. If you can't find where to buy it you can still watch entire walkthroughs on youtube.

very cool i'll check out the link :)

(just to clear up what i said a little because i didn't explain it too well) i just thought you might animate maybe a part you have played, which would be kinda cool. like the scenery could be the same as the game, and you could kinda animate what it is you're saposed to do. but thats just an idea.

but this is waaaaaaay too amazing i must say. you better make movies for a living because i would watch every single one!! I hope this is something that we will all remember on doink for a very looooong time :)

OH, of course. Actually I might animate a few things, but they'll just be simple things--like Elaine punching Guybrush, Guybrush falling (see actual transparent animation here: http://milegend.com/animations/images/guybrushfalling.gif), and they probably won't even have backgrounds.

Thank you! I might animate movies officially when I grow up, but for now I like to entertain you guys. :) That is flattering, though.

Heheh, oops, sorry, Zechira. Monkey Island is a fully-animated computer game released in 199(7?). It was the first in the Monkey Island series to include voice acting, since the first two games used MIDI files for all noises and music. The game centers around a young (debatable...he's somewhere around twenty) wannabe pirate named Guybrush Threepwood, who, at the end of the last game, had been captured by his evil arch nemesis LeChuck, the undead pirate, who had fooled him into thinking that he was his long-lost brother, Chuckie.
This is the opening to the game (though it's minus a few things, due to the fact I didn't know there was a way to make things get smaller in the distance).

This is incredible, fantastic job! I love Monkey Island 3 (and 2, haven't tried 1), and you got the style and subtle details (the whispy cloud style, the colors, the little details on the moon, the facial expressions, the perspective changes, everything!) perfect!

I have only played and beat 3 and 4. I only gain what I know abouty 1 and 2 from fan sites, screen shots, etc.

are you from Disney studios, cause this is really good, and the animation is similar. you are an inspiration my friend. the amount of detail and feeling put into this is overwhelming. i must put this much effort into the series i'm making

I'm sorry, but...huh? Type stuff, you mean, the letters? Click on the "A" button. Then make the box the right size (It'll get bigger as you type), then click on your next tool, like the paint brush or something. It should work. If it doesn't contact Karen or one of the creators. That's the best I can do for you.

It's a 3D adventure-type game. You wander around the environment solving puzzles (like in monkey island--where you have to find the right objects and use them appropriately)
It's not nearly as funny, but the environment details are gorgeous and the game is pretty well-paced.

OH MY GOSH!! This is one of THE best animations I have EVER seen! I've played the very short demo of The Secret Of Monkey Island on my iPod Touch.... After seeing those Youtube videos and your animation I am so getting the full game right now!

I got the game on my IPod touch like I said I would. I know how to get the Xbox version of Secret of Monkey Island too. You need Xbox live and it's in the store. You can also get an online version for I think everyone in the series, not sure about any of the other ones though sorry.

xD I have all the Tales of Monkey Island for the Wii so far (except the latest one, I'm not sure if that's even out yet).
